Get Some Money Fast

If you need to get some money fast because your gas tank and bank account are equally empty, your first instinct is probably to head to the couch cushions. What do you do when you couch cushions are all tapped out? This plan for fast cash won't make you rich, but it might at least get you to your next paycheck.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Return something. If you find yourself without enough money to make it to your next paycheck, look around your house to see if you have any unused items that you can return to the store.

  2. Step 2

Gather cans and bottles. Start with collecting any that are in your house and then go to public places like parks and pools to find more. Don’t worry, if anyone sees you, just tell them you are doing it to save the environment. Once you have gathered a few sacks, head to the local recycling center and turn them in for cash. The amount you will receive will depend on the sate you live in and how many cans you collected.

  3. Step 3

Sell your used books, cds, dvds or video games. There are many game stores and used book stores that will give you fast cash for these items.

  4. Step 4

Mow lawns. Since we are in the middle of summer, this is a great, albeit sweaty, way to get some money fast. This works best if you have your own lawn mower, but you can charge less and use the customer’s as well. One idea is to drive around a newer neighborhood that has an HOA. Find houses with overgrown lawns and offer to mow their lawn for a fee. Since they are under pressure from their HOA to keep their lawn tidy, they may be more likely to accept.

  5. Step 5

Donate plasma. As long as you aren’t squeamish and have good veins, you can get some money fast by heading to a plasma center to be paid for your donation. You can often get as much as $40 fast cash for your donation.
