How to change the dock to 2D

Learn how to customize your mac Dock without downloading anything. Use this if you want to change OS X to be yours. The 2D dock looks great and works just as well.

Things You'll Need:

• computer with Mac OS X

1. 
   Terminal

   The first step is to open up the application called "terminal". This will bring up a Unix command line similar to Microsoft's DOS. To start the application simply search for it in spotlight.

2. After that simply copy and paste this code, "$ defaults write com.apple.dock no-glass -boolean YES"

   Your dock remains the same.

   Press Enter and you will notice that nothing has happened. It is fine, just keep going.

4. Next we need to refresh the dock so you can see the changes. Paste this code into the field, "killall Dock". Press Enter.

5. 
   Your new 2d dock.

   The dock should disappear for a second and then reappear with a brand new look and finish. There are many ways to make the dock 2D, this is just one of them.

• If this doesn't work try again.
• Pay attention to capital letters in terminal.
