Swimming is one of America's favorite activities, but sometimes bowel incontinence hampers a person's enjoyment of water sports. Fortunately, disposable aquatic diapers are available for children and adults alike. Swim diapers are specially designed to repel water, and because they do not absorb water like a regular diaper does, swim diapers can be worn discreetly under any swimsuit. Changing an adult swim diaper is easy and takes just a few minutes.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Inspect the disposable adult swim diaper. It should consist of two parts. There will be an outer layer typically made of nylon spandex (that looks just like a swimsuit) and an inner layer of cotton (that serves as the diaper and is the only part that needs changing).

  2. Step 2

Observe how the diaper's inner lining is attached to the outer layer. Most linings are fixed with Velcro, but some may use plastic snaps. The lining should easily but firmly attach to the outer lining.

  3. Step 3

Detach the inner lining from the outer lining. Dispose of the inner lining.

  4. Step 4

Reattach a fresh liner into the swim diaper.

Tips & Warnings
  • You may purchase replacement liners discreetly online at amazon.com and aquatic special needs stores like www.mypoolpal.com.
