Easily Clean Your Dishwasher
Easily Clean Your Dishwasher

It seems kind of silly to clean an appliance that has water and soap in it almost every day. The truth is your dishwasher needs to be cleaned and should be cleaned every 2 months or so depending on your use.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

To clean any hard water or lime scale buildup off the inside of your dishwasher add either 1 cup of Tang or 4 packets of Lemon Kool-Aid to the inside, bottom of your dishwasher. Run the dishwasher on a full cycle. The citric acid will clean off the lime scale and hard water stain build up.

  2. Step 2

To clean the inside of your dishwasher fill a heat safe bowl or measuring cup with 4 cups of white vinegar. Place the bowl or cup on the bottom rack and run the dishwasher through a cycle. Be sure to turn off the dishwasher before the drying cycle begins.

  3. Step 3

To clean the inside of your dish washer, spray the inside of your dishwasher with a bleach and water solution, let it sit for about 10 minutes and wipe down with a clean wet sponge. Make sure to wear gloves and do not inhale bleach fumes. Do not mix bleach with other cleaners.
