Make dating age appropriate: It is alright to allow younger teens to date only in groups with other children. Going to the movies, out to eat, roller skating is fine. Have an older teen or adult drop them off and pick them up at an designated time.

Have a way to keep in contact: It is easier to monitor teen dating if the have a phone. Give you teen a cell phone, so they have a way to communicate if there is a problem.

Let them date at home: Allow you teen date at home or have groups of teens over the house. This is a good way to know who what types of kids they are hanging out with.

Progressively give more freedom: As you are monitoring your teens dating, you will see, if your has been keeping curfew or calling you to ask to stay out a little longer, you can loosen the reigns just a little. Monitoring your teen dating habits, help prove if they are responsible and trustworthy.
