How to Deal With a Bad Hair Color

Kudos for being ambitious and coloring your own hair. Now that it's come out wrong, what now?

Here are 6 easy steps to deal with a bad hair color and make it into a good one.

   Stay Calm

   If you panic, you will just get frustrated and emotional. Look in the mirror and see how bad it really is and if you can afford to wear it for a little while. See what your family or friends think. You might be onto a new side of you that's worth exploring.

   Get A Wig

   You decided to color your hair at the last minute before you had to go to a wedding. You hate the color so bad, that you're considering not attending! You have two choices: you can either deal with it, or look like Bambi for the night. If you choose the latter, be bold and play it up like it was intentional. Why go out sour and coerce others to make you feel good about your - new look?

   Color Your Hair Dark

   Think you don't look so good in dark colors? Go for warm and red shades instead. If you're the adventurous type, color your hair over with one of these solid shades. Adjust your makeup and accessorize to fit. Move swiftly to recolor your hair before your roots begin to grow out. Whether you go darker or brighter, always follow up with a deep conditioner.

   Go To A Reputable Cosmetology Training School

   Another option to dealing with a bad hair color, would be going to a Cosmetology Training School. It's the best of both worlds. The cost is far less than a professional hair salon and they can color your hair just as well. Be sure to do your research first on their credibility.

   Let It Grow Out

   Good bye perms and blow dryers! It's all about being natural. The hair salons and drug stores won't be seeing you or your money anytime soon.

   Go To A Professional Hair Colorist

   If none of the other options worked, then it's time to go to the professionals. Ask your friends and family for recommendations or stop someone and ask them where they got their hair colored. Do consultations and ask questions before you commit to a new color.
