Things You'll Need:
- 1 Cup Butter
- 1 Cup light Karo Syrup
- 1 Tsp Vanilla
- 1 lb brown sugar
- 1 can Eagle Brand Milk
- 1 Dash of salt
- Large Microwave Safe Bowl
- Wooden Spoon
- A Microwave
- 9x13 Pan

Step 1
The first step to this microwave caramel recipe is to melt butter in a large microwave safe bowl.

Step 2
Add 1 Cup Light Karo syrup, 1 lb brown sugar, 1 can Eagle Brand Milk and 1 dash of salt to the added butter. Blend well.

Step 3
Microwave on high 20 minutes (18 minutes in a 900 Watt microwave) Stir every 3 minutes with a wooden spoon.

Step 4
Remove mixture from microwave and add vanilla. Mix well. If you want to want an orange flavored caramel, you can modify this microwave caramel recipe by adding orange extract instead of vanilla. Pour mixture into a buttered 9 x 13 pan. Cool to Room Temperature. When cooled cut into 1" squares.
