Flowers for a wedding can cost a fortune if you let it go above your budget. Here are some tips to use your money wisely, make wise decisions to cut the cost on flowers for your wedding.

  1. Step 1

    Compare the prices of different florist in your area and the prices of different flowers, and choose one that fits your budget. Look into the prices of daisies, carnations and tulips, chrysanthemum
    and in season flowers. They are often less expensive than roses. Also, certain local supermarkets have a floral department. Ask if they do flowers for weddings and what package they have available.

  2. Step 2

    Use Combination of different ways to save on wedding flowers.
    Use Silk flowers for your entire wedding or just part of the wedding (either the wedding party, reception or as a table centerpiece) or use fresh flowers from a wholesale place or florist for the wedding party or the reception or vice versa.

  3. Step 3

    Check with a horticultural school in your area and ask for recommendations of students who will arrange flowers for you. You will often pay less than a regular florist. Or You can round up volunteers with some sort of floral experience.

  4. Step 4

    Look at the number of people you have in your wedding party and guests list and decide if you need to cut down on the wedding party or guests list.
