Pool volleyball is the most fun you can legally have in a pool. If you've already done this then you know what I mean and you're probably looking to put in something better than a flimsy portable net. I know how to do it and it's not that hard...read on...

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • heavy duty volley ball poles and net
  • core drill for the diameter of the volleyball poles
  • white chalk
  • tape measure
  1. Step 1

Divide your pool in half so that both sides will have a decent size "court" to cover. Make an allowance for the deep end. This side is harder to cover than the shallow end. Stretch a rope across the pool and mark it on the sides with chalk. On each side measure in from the edge 12". This is where the pole will go into the deck.

  2. Step 2

Core drill the holes on both sides all the way through the deck. Check to see that the pole slides in easily. Slide both poles into the hole sockets. The holes and poles should be vertical. Twist the poles to tighten the netting. If one pole does in too far throw some pebbles in the hole a few at a time to raise the pole.

  3. Step 3

Sometimes there are stabilizer rope lines for each end of the poles. You can extend or change out the ropes to make them long enough to reach into the grass on the sides...or you can drill a small hole in the deck on each side and insert a bolt with a loop on the end...get the longest one you can find and drive it in through the ground if you need to to keep the rope tight. Pop it out when you are done playing. find a couple rubber balls to plug the holes when the poles are removed..
