Step 1
Try to avoid tangling your hair. The problem with hair taking so long to grow is the fact that we do damaging things to our hair that essentially rip it out. It is a good idea to comb your hair before and after a shower and to keep your hair out of tight ponytails and other hairdos that are stressing on the hair. Keep your hair combed often and you'll see healthier and fuller results!

Step 2
Avoid curling irons and hair straighteners. Also avoid hair dyes. These too will be quite damaging on your hair and can create a bit of hair loss. Remember, the key here is to have more hair and to allow it to grow... Not to have your hair fall out.
-
Step 3
Take a multi-vitamin. Multi-vitamins are great for the hair! We go through the day sometimes missing out on important vitamins in our system, some of which our hair needs. This will definitely help.
-
Step 4
Avoid washing your hair everyday. Your hair has natural oils in it that benefit its health. By washing them everyday you are taking those out.
-
Step 5
Avoid stress in your life and relax. Stress will take a huge toll on your hair. Rapid weight loss can also have the same affects as stress. If you are losing weight, try to take it slowly.
-
Step 6
Cut the split ends from your hair once every few weeks. This will prevent your hair from thinning by getting rid of the unhealthy parts of the hair.

Step 7
If all else fails there are some medications that may help with hair growth, but always ask a doctor first!
