Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Find funding from others who will share in your musical career. If you have a band, the other members can contribute money to fund the business. Family and friends also can be asked to contribute to help you succeed.

  2. Step 2

Find sponsors to fund your music career. If you have a musical talent, you can open yourself up to play locally for organizations. After you have gained followers, you can start looking for sponsors. Some of the people who hear your music may want to help further your career. Businesses also will play a role in funding if they think you have a talent that will go far.

  3. Step 3

Check into government programs for musicians. There are prerequisites for most funding programs available on a federal and local level. Most of these programs are grants and require no repayment. There is a lot of red tape, however, and time involved to obtain this funding. Contact your local government agency to get a list of available programs.

Tips & Warnings
  • Banks do not usually give funds for a music career unless you are an established musician.
