  1. How to Roast a Marshmallow Over a Light Bulb

      Place a lamp on the floor or table. Use a100W bulb. If you need to change the bulb, turn off the lamp and remove the plug from the socket. Switch bulbs when the original is cool to the touch. Plug light back in and turn on.

      Place a marshmallow onto your fork.

      Place the marshmallow over the light bulb, close but not touching the top of the bulb. Rotate the marshmallow a few times throughout the process.

      After six minutes of holding a marshmallow over the bulb, the marshmallow should be roasted. The marshmallow will be warm and gooey. It should taste like a fire-roasted marshmallow but without the golden crust.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you're roasting a marshmallow with children, make an indoor campfire by cutting out and decorating cardboard flames to place around the lamp.

  • Do not stare at the light bulb while roasting.
