How to Operate a Tent Heater
Anyone who has camped in the woods knows it gets colder at night. Even in summer, it can be cold sleeping in a tent at night. If you're camping in the fall or winter, you'll probably benefit from using a tent heater. Using any heating device in a tent can be dangerous, but there are now tent heaters that operate off propane bottles and are much safer.

Turn the heater valve on the tent heater to the "off" position and attach the propane bottle.

Rotate the supporting legs into the operating position and firmly place the propane bottle into the supporting section.

Point the heater away from you and hold at a 45 degree angle. Turn the heater valve to the "on" position.

Push the red ignition button repeatedly until the heater lights. This method is for heaters that have electronic ignitions. Make sure the heater is lit and heat is developing. If not, relight it. Set your heater on a flat surface away from anything inside of the tent that might ignite.

Turn the heater valve position to "on" and hold a match over the top portion of the heater, if your heater does not have electronic ignition. A visible flame will appear briefly about 10 to 12 seconds after lighting. If you don't feel any heat coming from the heater, repeat this step.

Turn the fuel valve to the "off" position once you are through using the heater and allow it to cool before packing it.

Tips & Warnings
The heater will take about 10 minutes to reach its full heating capacity.
You can destroy the ceramic fiber head pad by touching it or poking a hole in it. Store your propane bottles away from high heat or open flames.
