Ever been stung during the Summer and wonder how to get over the pain of the sting? The following steps for those who have been stung and only want relief from the poison entered into their body. THIS IS NOT FOR THOSE WHO ARE ALLERGIC TO BEES, WASPS, OR ANY OTHER STINGING INSECT! IF YOU HAVE AN ALLERGIC REACTION, CALL 911 AND SEEK IMMEDIATE HELP!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A Small Cup of Cold Water
  • 2 Tbsp of Baking Soda
  • 1 or 2 Paper Towels
  • 1 Small Paper Plate
  1. Step 1

Expose the affected areas. This might mean rolling up your sleeves or your pants legs.

  2. Step 2

Pour out 2 Tbsp of baking soda onto the small paper plate.

  3. Step 3

Pour out a small amount of cold water onto the baking soda, mixing it with your finger until it becomes a paste.

  4. Step 4

Apply the paste liberally to the affected areas of your skin. The paste will draw out the poison and the cold water will help you feel better as well.

  5. Step 5

Relax. Sit down on the couch or chair and elevate the affected limbs. This helps the blood flow slower and gives the poison less of a chance to spread throughout your body.

Tips & Warnings
  • I usually find it helpful to change into shorts and a t-shirt if possible to be more comfortable while I'm letting my body fight the poison.
  • Having experienced mowing over a hornets nest and being stung multiple times, this procedure helped me become much more comfortable than I would have been without any treatment.
  • I AM NOT A DOCTOR! This advice is for those who are not allergic to stinging insects and has been known to help in general.
  • If you experience any allergic reaction, seek medical attention immediately!
