How to Use a Pineapple Corer

Instead of attempting to peel the prickly shell of a pineapple, use a corer to remove the fruit easily and with less mess. By cutting the top and bottom off, you will be able to retrieve the tropical fruit that is stored inside.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Pineapple
  • Sharp knife
  • Pineapple corer

    How To Use A Pineapple Corer

  1. Step 1

    Cut the top and bottom of the pineapple to give you a level surface.

  2. Step 2

    Position the pineapple corer on top of the fruit and press firmly.

  3. Step 3

    Turn the corer clockwise while pushing it through the fruit.

  4. Step 4

    Ease the pineapple core out of its shell.

  5. Step 5

    Release the corer from the fruit. Most corers are equipped with a release button; others will have to be pulled out of the fruit.

Tips & Warnings
  • Always work on a cutting board. Never hold the pineapple in your hand while coring.
