Things You'll Need:
- PVC pipe
- PVC cross bar
- PVC glue
- Hack saw
- Funnel
- Duct tape
-
Step 1
Cut a length of 1/2-inch PVC pipe with a hack saw so that it comes up to 3 inches above your waist.
-
Step 2
Cut the bottom 2 inches of the pipe at a 35 degree angle. This will be the bottom of the seed planter.
-
Step 3
Attach the cross bar to the top of the pipe. Place a thin line of glue around the joint to hold it securely, then place a small piece of duct tape over each of the openings on the side.
-
Step 4
Cut two, 5-inch lengths from the extra pipe you originally cut off. Attach each one horizontally on the cross bar. Secure with PVC glue.
-
Step 5
Place the nozzle of a large plastic funnel into the top of the cross bar. Wrap duct tape around the joint between the funnel and pipe to secure.
-
Step 6
Use the seed planter by digging a small hole with the angled end, using the cross bars as handles to lend leverage. Place the bottom into the hole you dug, holding the pipe vertical. Drop a seed into the funnel so that it lands in the hole, then scrape the dirt back over it with the angled end.
