Disco parties can be a fun event, especially for those who were at their prime in the 1970s. It's a fun way to reminisce; for those who weren't alive in the 1970s, a disco party can be a fun way to learn about that decade. Most of the fun of a disco party is dressing up in disco costumes. Because the 1970s were not too long ago, it's very simple to take modern day clothing and turn it into the perfect disco costume.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Sequins
  • Fringe
  • Hot glue
  • Bell bottom pants
  • Colorful T-shirt
  1. Step 1

Buy a pair of bell-bottom pants at a thrift store. They can be jeans or any other kind of pant, as long as they flare out at the bottom of the legs.

  2. Step 2

Glue sequins all over the pants. Use as many sequins as you can. The more the better; these pants should sparkle and shine under the disco ball.

  3. Step 3

Glue some fringe to the bottom of each pant leg. If you don't want to buy fringe, you may fringe the pant legs on your own by cutting snips all around the bottom of each pant leg and fraying it.

  4. Step 4

Buy a colorful T-shirt at a thrift store. Glue fringe to the bottom of it and to the ends of the sleeves. Embellish the collar by gluing sequins around it.

  5. Step 5

Add any accessories that you'd like: A brightly colored headband, some bangles around your wrist, or a long necklace would work nicely.
