How to Use a PSP Headset for SOCOM
The SOCOM franchise has always been about online connectivity, and with the release of the first installment on the PSP, "SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo," the series added the long-awaited voice chat feature to the series. As a special bonus, certain copies of "SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo" shipped with a special SOCOM headset. Using this headset is fairly easy, and once you have everything hooked up, you'll be ready to voice chat with all your squad mates in the game.

1
Connect the headset to a PSP headset remote. This remote facilitates microphone communications and will allow you to interact with the other players. Simply connect the line out cord from the headset into the microphone jack on the headset remote. Then connect the headset remote to the PSP's audio lack, located on the lower left side of the device.

Tips & Warnings
You can see players with chat capabilities by looking at thier online names. If they have a little microphone icon, then they have a headset and can interact with you. If they do not, then they can hear you, but won't be able to talk back to you.
The headset for "SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo" is incompatible with the 2000 and 3000 models of the PSP hardware.
