How to Properly Detox

Everyday, our bodies are subjected to pollution, food toxins and excess fats or sugars. Detox is an ideal way to rid the body of toxin buildup, as well as promote health and well-being, increase energy and alertness and increase clarity of the skin. There are many detox diets to choose from but the healthiest is a two to three day program where nothing is consumed but natural, fresh fruit and vegetable juice and water. The juices give nourishment to the body while the detox works to release unhealthy toxins from the body internally and externally.

  • Fruit and vegetable juice
  • Water
  • Hot shower or sauna
  • Foods with fiber
  • Green tea or herbal tea

Instructions

      Consume nothing but natural fruit and vegetable juices three times a day for two to three days or longer depending on length of desired time. In addition to the juices, be sure to drink at least eight glasses of water at room temperature throughout the day.

      Drink a cup of herbal or green tea each evening. Tea has antioxidants that regulate the effect of free radicals internally and externally which can rid the body of dangerous toxins.

      Continue to cleanse the body after a detox by consuming healthy, natural foods. Fiber is a very important part of any diet to keep things flowing and reducing the amount of toxin buildup in the body. Foods with fiber include broccoli, brown rice and cabbage.

      Take a daily multivitamin to help the body get rid of toxin buildup in the organs and cells.

      Sit in a sauna to get rid of waste from the skin and body by sweating them out. Drinking at least 2 quarts of water each day also helps to wash away harmful toxins from the body.
