How to Install BT Broadband

BT is one of the most popular broadband providers in the UK. For 88.09 pounds, BT will send an engineer to install the broadband for you. If you're a little techie, you can save a lot of money by doing it yourself. Everything you need to get online should be included in the box you get from BT.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • BT Home Hub
  • Driver CD
  • Power adapter
  • ADSL filters
  • Broadband cable

    Installing Broadband

  1. Step 1

    Plug in ADSL filters into every phone socket that you're using. This will prevent other devices from interfering with your broadband service.

  2. Step 2

    Plug the grey broadband cable into the ADSL filter. Plug the other end into the Home Hub. The socket is labeled "Broadband."

  3. Step 3

    Plug the power cable into Home Hub. The socket is labeled "9V DC." Plug the other end into the electricity socket.

  4. Step 4

    Raise the aerial. The "Broadband" light on the Home Hub should light up.

  5. Step 5

    Insert the driver CD into your computer and follow the instructions on the screen to install the driver and finish the installation.
