How to Learn Glass Painting
Glass painting projects can range from painting on a window glass to painting on a goblet. There are a number of glass painting techniques, paints that you can use for glass painting and actual glass items on which you can paint. Stained glass is actually a type of glass painting. If you are interested in taking up glass painting as a craft or hobby, you will find that it is not all that difficult to do and there are a number of techniques you can use to paint whatever glass item you may have.

Visit the glasspainting.co.uk website (see Resources).

Select "Guides" from the left navigation bar. This will bring up several glass painting guides.

Look at the "Basic Outlining" video guide. Outlining is a key part of glass painting. Once you learn how to properly outline, you can move onto painting. Also view the three-page "Basic Outlining Skills" tutorial for more tips.

View the "Glass Paints Matrix" guide. It will show you which paints you will be working with when glass painting.

Get basic painting skills tips with the "Basic Painting Skills" guide. This is a two-page guide that teaches what types of brushes to use, how to prevent unwanted shading and how to apply the actual paint using standard techniques.

See the "Glass Paint Effects and Blending" guide to get some advanced painting tips and techniques. It covers effects and blending using different types of paints.
