How to Make a Signet Ring Out of Foil
Paper crafts are one of the most popular kinds of crafts, especially in children's art classes. The same innovative techniques used in paper crafts can be extended to other materials as well, such as foil. You can make a signet ring out of aluminum foil by implementing a series of folds that, from a distance, can give the illusion of a real signet ring. The following is a creative craft for children and adults of all ages.
Instructions

1
Cut a rectangular strip of aluminum foil that is approximately 2 ½ mm by 5 mm.
-
2
Fold the piece of foil in half width-wise. Then fold it in half again, again width-wise. Fold the piece of foil in half approximately four or five times until the foil is a strip of ribbon that is the width you would like your ring to be.

-
3
Use a pen to draw a signet design on the foil. Trace the design two or three times, pressing hard to give the impression of engraving.
-
4
Fold the foil strip around your finger, and use a pen to mark the place where the foil ends meet on your finger.
-
5
Remove the strip from your finger, cut the foil along the pen mark and tape the two ends of the foil together with clear tape to complete your signet ring.

Tips & Warnings
Paint the foil and apply glitter to it for more customization.
Be careful when handling your foil ring. Foil bends and is easily damaged.
