Use a reverse look-up mobile tracing service. There are a lot of services that can look up landlines, but not all of them can look up cell phone numbers. An easy to use and reliable program is the Reverse Phone Detective (See the resource box below) You simply go to the site and put in the phone number that you wish to trace and it will return some basic information such as the city the person lives in. If you need more details you can get a full report for a small fee; as of 2009 it's $19.95. This report may include things such as the name and address of the person, how long they've been with the carrier and the type of plan they have.

You sign up on their website, put in your phone's details and add people to your friends list whom you want to track. You can also allow other people to track you. Once these details are entered you will be able to find them if their phone is turned on he service will also tell you when you are close to one another.
