Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 lb. boneless pork loin
  • Sharp knife
  • Paper towels
  • Bowls
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tbsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 tbsp. salt
  • 1 tbsp. garlic powder
  • Heavy skillet
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup milk
  • Tongs
  • Plate
  1. Step 1

Slice the pork loin into 1 inch pieces. You can cut the loin thinner, but remember that the thinner the meat, the faster it cooks. Pork loin can also be bought already sliced.

  2. Step 2

Rinse the pork loin under cold water and dry off with paper towels. Sit the pork loin on the counter and let it come to room temperature. This usually takes about 20 to 30 minutes.

  3. Step 3

Add the flour, black pepper, salt and garlic powder to the bowl and mix with a spoon or your fingers. Pour the oil into your skillet and heat on medium.

  4. Step 4

Pour the milk in a bowl, and dip each slice of pork in it. Next, drop each piece of meat into the seasoned flour and coat completely on both sides.

  5. Step 5

Sit the coated pork loin slices in the hot oil. Place three or five pieces at a time in the skillet, without touching. This will help them to cook more evenly and quickly.

  6. Step 6

Cook the pork until it is golden brown, about 5 or 6 minutes. Flip the meat over and let it finish cooking for 5 or 6 more minutes. Using tongs instead of a fork to turn meat over helps to prevent juices from escaping, which can cause the meat to become dry.

  7. Step 7

Remove the loin slices from the pan and sit on a plate. Repeat Step 6 for the rest of the pork.

Tips & Warnings
  • Instead of adding the spices to the flour, you can also sprinkle them over the pork loin as it cooks.
