This is a simple and delicious treat that you and your family can make and enjoy on any day of the year. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Sharp knife
- Seedless watermelon
- 3 bananas
- Blender
- Gallon pitcher
- 1 cup unsweetened pineapple juice
- 1 cup unsweetened orange juice
- 6 large strawberries
- 1 can pineapple chunks
- Long handled spoon
Instructions
-
-
1
Cut the watermelon in half and then into small cubes, enough to fill 8 cups. Next, peel and cut 2 of the bananas into small chunks. You can use any kind of watermelon you want, but you'll have to take out the seeds first.
-
2
Put the watermelon cubes and the banana chunks in the blender and puree. Pour the watermelon and banana juice into a gallon pitcher, along with the pineapple juice and orange juice.
-
-
3
Wash the strawberries in cold water. Take off the tops, and slice the strawberries into small pieces. Peel and cut up the last banana into small pieces.
-
4
Open the can of pineapple chunks, and drain the juice. Fresh pineapple can be used instead of canned.
-
5
Add the cut up strawberries and bananas and the pineapple chunks to the pitcher of juice. You can add the juice to the pitcher if more of a pineapple taste is wanted. Just remember that the juice from the can of pineapple chunks may be sweetened with sugar.
-
6
Stir gently to mix all of the juices and fruits in the pitcher together. Put a lid on the pitcher, and let it sit in the fridge for 2 hours. This will allow the juice to get cold and the fruit chunks to become somewhat soft.
-
7
Pour the fruit drink into glasses and drink from a straw. Remember to keep a spoon handy for the fruit pieces. If you'd rather have a smooth fruit drink, just blend all of the fruit before adding the juices.
