Have you ever saw a woman walking around with the most beautiful head scarf and wondered how she got it on? I know I have! The most amazing thing about hair scarfs is that they come in different styles and colors and can easily be matched with any outfit. They are perfect for bad hair days (who hasn't had one)! They can also be a nice accessory to complete your outfit. In my step-by-step instructions you will learn how to prepare your hair for application of the scarf and how to place and firmly secure your head scarf.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Scarf
  • Comb
  • Hair Pieces (optional)
  1. Step 1

If you have hair you will want to do one of two things; you can wear your hair down with the scarf over it or you may decide to pull into a ponytail. If you hair will be down, style as desired prior to applying scarf. For example if you will have bangs, pull them out and style and comb the remainder of the hair to the back. If you do not have hair skip this step.

  2. Step 2

Application will vary depending on the type of scarf used. If you purchase a scarf that is made like a head band with the ends separated, place firmly after the bangs (if you have) or just before the hairline. Ensure that the band is centered. If using a regular scarf place the scarf on your head like a square and then pull down just above the brows and then pull the ends of the scar to the back.

  3. Step 3

Pull back and tie as desired. You can create a knot, a bun, or just tie the ends together this is personal preference.

  4. Step 4

Finally complete your style if you have hair that will be hanging, comb over the ends of the head band (the tied part. If you are wearing a ponytail you can apply your hair pieces prior to putting on the scarf or after the scarf has been tied in the back.
