Dark armpits are usually a result from shaving and waxing due to the skin being irritated. If you are tired of having embarrassing dark underarms, here are some steps you can take to lighten up your dark underarms naturally.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Try taking a multivitamin. Your armpits may be dark because of a lack of nutrients in the body.

  2. Step 2

Try rubbing a piece of lemon under your armpits. Lemon is known for being a natural skin lightener. Rub a piece of lemon on your armpits everyday until you see a change in pigment.

  3. Step 3

Try using a mixture of honey, lemon juice, sugar. Mix and heat ingredients. Let it cool down and apply to dark area. Do this 3 to 5 times a week and you should have lighter armpits and soft skin.

  4. Step 4

Use baking soda after shower as a deodorant instead of using regular deodorants. Sometimes certain deodorants can darken your armpits.

Tips & Warnings
  • Consult your doctor before using natural remedies for armpits.
  • Do not use bleaching products

on 10/31/2009 Does using baking soda as a deodorant cause there to be little clumps on your underarms? I've never tried it.
