How to Delete Myspace Account

Got too many accounts and cannot keep track, this will show you how to delete a myspace account.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet
  • Computer
  • Email address you signed up with and password.
  1. Step 1

    Open your internet browser whether you use Internet explorer firefox or another. Once open type in http://www.myspace.com

    Press enter and this will take you to the MySpace home page. To the right about middle of the screen there is an option there, for logging in or signing up. Click where it says Log in, if it is not already selected for you.

    Using the email address and password you signed up with, enter your email address where it request it and your password where it requests it. Once complete click on log in. This will bring you to the main home page of your account for myspace.

    Now that you are logged in, on the left hand side underneath your picture, you will see some options for editing. Also, above you will see an option for edit profile.

    Click on “Edit Profile”, this will bring you a new page allowing to make changes to sections of your profile.

    On the right hand side of the screen, there are three choices for “Account Settings”, “view my profile” and “Customize my profile”.

    Click on the one that says, “Account settings”, this will bring up a new page, with your current account information. Once on account settings on the left hand side, click where it just has the word “account”.

    On the new window near the bottom there is an option there for cancelling the account.

    Click where it says, “Cancel Account”, on the next window, it will ask you why you are choosing to leave myspace, you will also be given an opportunity to keep your myspace account as well. For deleting the account enter a reason, using one of the radio buttons, then click on cancel account.

    Once done, the next window will be an account cancellation confirmation, with some information about myspace, what to do next, and a chance to provide feedback as well, once complete click on the “cancel my account” near the bottom of the page.

    The next thing to do is to log into the email account you used, and open the email sent to you to cancel your account. Open up the email then click on the link in the email to confirm.

    Once you click on the link the next window, will bring you to the myspace home page, log back in to your account, using the same email and password, you signed up with, once logged in a new window will come up, asking one more time to confirm cancellation.

    Click on “cancel my account” and the next window will show a confirmation of your account cancellation. You have now cancelled your myspace account.

    NOTE: After the picture below, and clicking on cancel my account the next screen will inform you that the request has been received and it should take 48 hours.

Tips & Warnings
  • Never give out your password, or log in information to anyone.
  • Always remember what it is, if you cannot often there is a selection that is "Forgot Password"
  • Some accounts on the internet, will cancel on their own if you have not logged in awhile. (These vary)
  • Log in regularly or at least once a month so as not to lose an account.
  • Never give out your password, or log in information to anyone.
  • Change your password regularly
  • Always have backups of your work, so you do not lose anything
