One great option for lowering your bills is to transfer your credit card balance to a 0% APR credit service. I'll show you some quick steps to get started.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Getting 0% APR is all about having good credit, so step 1 should be making sure you have a high credit score. You're probably shooting for something in the 700's. Get a credit check and find ways to raise your score.

  2. Step 2

Check the terms of the new credit card. Are your transfers also 0%? If not shop around for one that does have that feature. You should also find a card the offers 0% for an entire year.

  3. Step 3

Once you've found the right card, apply and begin transferring your balance to the new card after being accepted. Cancel the old card to avoid any new charges. Be sure to pay off any debt left over from the old card first since you're still being charged for that balance.

  4. Step 4

Don't miss a payment on the new card. You are still obligated to make your minimum monthly payments, otherwise you will lose your 0% apr. Make it a point to pay off the entire debt before making any new charges to the card. New charges will probably cost you a high apr.
