Children absolutely love birthday parties! I personally know a child who just had a birthday party three weeks ago and is already planning the next one. Some parents, however, dread planning birthday parties for their children. Hosting the party and baking the cake are not the cause of stress, believe it or not its writing and mailing the thank you notes. Those who stress about writing thank you notes for their children who are too young to write their own should keep these steps in mind.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Keep the thank you card very simple. You can create a great card on your home computer and save money. It's not necessary to have thank you cards that match the paper plates from the party.

  2. Step 2

It's not necessary to thank the person for the specific gift received. Simple language such as; "thanks for coming to my birthday party, I am so glad you came" is acceptable.

  3. Step 3

Mail the card within 30-45 days of the party.

  4. Step 4

Have your child sign his or her name if possible. Your child may also want to draw something special on the card.
