How to Use Coffee Grounds in The Home Garden
Coffee grounds are produced daily in some households. Instead of throwing them away, recycle them in the garden. If your own coffee pot doesn't produce enough, most Starbucks coffee shops give away used grounds for free. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Use old coffee grounds to mulch acid loving plants like hydrangeas, azaleas and roses.
-
2
Coffee grounds will repel slugs. Pour a ring of coffee grounds around the plants that slugs like, such as lettuce, hosta, beans, and daffodils.
-
-
3
Mix coffee grounds into compost or potting soil for future plantings.
-
4
Work a couple of spoonfuls into houseplant soil so they can get the benefits.
-
5
Instead of throwing out a filter full of coffee grounds, place it in the bottom of a pot that is being replanted. The grounds will keep the soil from coming out and the grounds will be good for the plant.
-
6
Filters with coffee grounds in them can be added to the compost pile. The paper will break down nicely.
-
7
Use coffee grounds to change the color of your hydrangea. More acid in the soil, such as from coffee grounds, can change a pink hydrangea to blue.
