How to Make Chocolate Strawberries

Chocolate covered strawberries are a beautiful gift for someone you love. They are an elegant treat any time. They also make a great birthday treat to share with a class a little bit of healthy goodness and little bit of decadent chocolate.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Strawberries ( stems make a more beautiful presentation but ripe strawberries are fine)
  • semisweet chocolate ( chips are fine)
  • white chocolate (optional)
  • wax paper
  1. Step 1

    Prepare your strawberries to be dipped in chocolate. Wash them very gently and allow them to dry. At this point lay out wax paper on a cookie sheet large enough to accommodate the chocolate strawberries.

  2. Step 2

    Melt the chocolate. Place your chocolate chips in a microwavable bowl and heat a med power for 30 sec. Stir the chips and heat again. Keep heating until the chocolate is melted all the way through.

  3. Step 3

    Gently take the strawberry by the stem and dip into chocolate until the strawberry is covered in chocolate all the way round up to its shoulders.

  4. Step 4
     

    Place on wax paper

  5. Step 5

    (Optional Step) Melt the white chocolate just as you melted the semisweet chocolate. And drizzle and dot and generally decorate with the white chocolate

  6. Step 6

    Leave it until the chocolate is set. This takes about 30 minutes.

Tips & Warnings
  • Try polka dots with the white chocolate they are fun and easy!
