Almost 40% of people have some form of Keratosis Pilaris (also known as those annoying bumps on your upper arms, cheeks, or legs). Unfortunately it is genetic and there is no real cure but what you can do is alleviate it.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Amlactin
  • Loofah
  • Exfoliating scrub
  1. Step 1

Try not to pick or scratch the bumps. This may result in scarring that will be even harder to remove.

  2. Step 2

A good way to decide how to take care of your keratosis pilaris is finding out out which kind you have. You can easily do this by looking at images and comparing it to yours.

  3. Step 3

The next step is exfoliation. Buy a loofah and some exfoliating scrub and scrub while in the shower. Do not scrub too hard because you might irritate your skin.

  4. Step 4

The last step is something that I had found while researching online. Most people recommend Amlactin as a way to moisturize and alleviate the bumps. While this method may not completely rid yourself of bumps, you will notice an improvement in the smoothness of your skin very quickly. Amlactin can be purchased at most drug stores or online. I found mine at CVS.

Tips & Warnings
  • Some users of Amlactin experienced a painful burning while using this product. Take precautions by trying a little at a time until you are sure your skin is not too sensitive to the ingredients.
