Dryness can cause a lot of skin problems and if not treated can lead to peeling skin. Peeling skin can be quite uncomfortable and unattractive in appearance. Luckily there are some remedies to help reduce it, prevent it, and heal it.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

The first step to alleviate peeling skin is to keep your skin moisturized by drinking plenty of water. Dry skin is the leading cause for peeling skin, so it is best to avoid having dry skin to begin with.

  2. Step 2

Use lotion on your skin and the peeling areas. Lotion will help soften the skin and will bring relief to the peeling.

  3. Step 3

Try changing your soap. Some soaps are harsher than others and can sometimes lead to dry, peeling skin. Switch to a milder soap or an unscented soap if possible.

  4. Step 4

Soak yourself in an oatmeal bath if the peeling is constant and all over.

  5. Step 5

When going outside always use sunscreen to block your skin from the sun's harsh conditions. This will most definitely help prevent sunburns which can lead to skin peeling.

  6. Step 6

Avoid hot baths. This will dry out your skin even more!!!

  7. Step 7

Never pick at your peeling skin. It could further damage the skin and spread the peeling issues. It could even cause infection!
