Stop a Sore Throat
Stop a Sore Throat

Ever get a bad sore throat that seems like is never going away? Then follow these strategies to eliminate it in as little time as possible.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Salt
  • Water
  • Vitamins
  • Capability of buying madecine
  1. Step 1

Gargle with salt water. Add 1/2-1 table spoon of salt (depending on how much you are able to handle) to 1/2 cup of warm water. Try not to let the water sit on your tung too long to avoid its bad taste. Repeat this about 4 times a day. If you are unable to handle the taste, use less salt and gargle more often.

  2. Step 2

Steam. Go into a bathroom and close the doors and let the shower run at its hottest temperature. Breathing in the steam will help open up your throat. Also, you can pour boiling water into a sink and breath that with a towel over your head for more direct steam.

  3. Step 3

Try a throat medicine such as ludens. These will help put a layer over your throat to not make what you swallow pass over the inflamed portions. Also throat sprays do the same thing, and you are able to apply them more directly.

  4. Step 4

Breath in through your nose and try to refrain from talking. Doing these things makes air not go directly to your throat, and dryness of throats makes them hurt worse.

  5. Step 5

Take painkillers such as Tylenol and Motrin. It works best if you alternate them every 2 hours for example; Tylenol at 10:00 Motrin 12:00 Tylenol 2:00 Motrin 4:00 etc.
