Death is a permanent separation of us from our loved one. But how can one some up the words to write, to express the grief of the tragedy that is suicide. To write any obituary is to realize that you are writing a tribute to a persons life, there whole life.

  • Love
  1. Step 1

    Begin writing the obituary by stating full name of the deceased and any nicknames or funny names that they were known by.
    Other things to include in the introduction is
    Age upon death
    Name of the city they lived in
    The day of there untimely death
    The city of death
    Cause of death, but because suicide is a very hard reason to except you may chose to omit this section or use alternative verbiage such as: cause of death was sadness, the angel's summoned him/her home, life was to treacherous. Whatever you chose to do remember that these words are always hard to write, and in this time of grief. Family and friends need to find solace in the wound that has been created in there hearts.

  2. Step 2

    Next you will want to write about the life remembered this includes:
    Date of birth
    Place of birth
    Names of parents biological or otherwise.
    List any siblings
    Reminisce about childhood memories. To take people back to the happy times of the simplicity of life.
    Education names of schools or universities they attended or any programs of greater interest.
    Marriage or Marriages including the name of the spouse and the when and the where of there most recent marriage.
    Another good time to reminisce about the happy times .
    Make mentions of any awards, trophy's or personal achievements.
    Employment where they worked, what they enjoyed about there labors and including any funny memories.
    Places of residence
    Activities of enjoyment, hobbies, clubs, religion, sports, charity
    Conclude with special stories of life they can be funny or heart felt. This can fit in anywhere in there life. Because an obituary is about there life.

  3. Step 3

    Next you will write about the people in there life that mattered.
    These are the people they are
    Survived by and there place of residence.
    Spouse
    Children listed in order of birth and their spouses Grandchildren
    Great Grandchildren
    Parents
    Grandparents
    Siblings in birth order
    Any other relation that was close to the family, special friends, or even family pets if there pet was an important part of there life.

  4. Step 4

    Next will come all the loved ones that have died before and are a waiting your loved one in heaven. These are stated as those who are
    Predeceased by and the date of there death
    Spouse
    Children in birth order
    Grandchildren
    Siblings in birth order
    Other important family members

  5. Step 5

    Next include the information about the farewell
    Starting with the day, the date, time and place
    Name of the officiate, pallbearers and any other person who is in service of the funeral
    Visitation include again the day, date, time and place
    Reception information
    Other memorial services
    Place of interment
    Name of the funeral service provider
    Where to call for more information

  6. Step 6

    Conclusion includes where
    Memorial funds are set-up include ding address
    Thank you to the people or groups who had involvement
    End with words that sum up the life of.

Tips & Warnings
  • It is important to check and recheck the final draft of the obituary. These will be the last words about the deceased and these will be the words that family and friends will hold on to and cherish.
