    1. Divide your hair into sections.
    2. Using a comb or hair brush, start near the roots of your hair and go down the section of hair, combing with one hand and using the blow dryer over it with the other hand.

    2. Use a small amount of the hair straightening product, rub it between your palms and smooth over your hair gently.
    3. Comb through as usual.

Use hair straightening products sparingly since they tend to make your hair look greasy and weigh it down if used in excess.

  6. Step 6

Using Brazilian or Japanese hair straightening:

These are salon procedures done by professionals to keep your hair straight for a longer period of time. Consult your hair stylist for more advice about these methods of straightening your hair.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use an umbrella if the weather forecast predicts rain. You have to protect your straightened hair from water.
  • Don't be surprised if you see steam and hear a sizzling sound while using the hair straightening iron on damp hair. That is common while straightening your hair.
  • Straighten your hair only on occasions since exposing your hair to heat styling regularly will damage your hair and make them more frizzy.
