Things You'll Need:
- Tweezers
- Mirror
- Brow or eyeliner pencil
- Eyebrow brush
- Warm washcloth

Step 1
First, determine your ideal brown shape. Using an eyebrow pencil or eyeliner, hold the pencil vertically along the side of your nose. It will line up with the inside of your eye. Your brows should not extend beyond this point, so make a mark to indicate where to begin tweezing. Next, angle the pencil so that it extends past the outer corner of your eye. Your brows should end at this point. Again make a mark. Finally, to determine where your arch should be, hold the pencil vertically along the outside edge of your iris (the colored part of your eye) and make a mark at your brow.

Step 2
To soften the skin and allow for easy plucking, hold a warm wash cloth against your brows for a moment. If you have especially sensitive skin, you might want to numb the skin around your eyebrows before you begin tweezing. However, if you tweeze correctly, you shouldn't feel much pain. But there are a couple of things you can do it make it easier - use an ice cube to numb the skin or try an oral gel. Just be sure not to get it anywhere near your eye! To finish your preparation, brush brows with the eyebrow brush so you can see exactly what you're doing.

Step 3
Now you are ready to pluck. Get your tweezers out - the best have a slanted edge. My favorites are those made by Tweezerman. Position yourself in front of a mirror in good lighting. For any hairs that fall outside of the parameters you marked, tweeze hairs in the direction that they grow. Work slowly and be sure not to pull any hairs inside of the line. Don't over pluck!
