Starbucks doesn't mind sharing its recipe for the Outrageous Oatmeal Cookie. The one key is to use old-fashioned oats, not the instant kind. This recipe should produce 2 dozen cookies in about 20 minutes.

- 1/4 cup dark raisins
- 1/4 cup golden raisins
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 6 tbsp. unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- 4 tbsp. dark raisins
- 4 tbsp. golden raisins
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Blend together the oats, flour, raisins, cranberries, baking soda, baking powder and salt in one bowl.
Beat the butter and sugars together in another bowl. When they are light and fluffy, and the egg, cinnamon and vanilla and beat the mix until it is well blended.
Gradually add the oat mixture. Beat together until well blended.
Drop the dough by rounded tablespoons, 2 inches apart from each other, on a baking sheet. Drop the raisins on each cookie, then bake them 12 to 16 minutes or until the cookies are golden brown. Let the cookies cool for five minutes in the oven, then place them on a wire rack.
