How to Tweeze Eyebrows

Remember that bushy Brooke Shields eye brow look from the 80s? Yeah, well, it’s not coming back anytime soon. She doesn’t have it anymore and neither should you. There are ways to tame those furry brows before they unite and become a unibrow.

Things You'll Need:

• Tweeezers
• Ice
• Mirror
• Steady hand
• Examples of pictures

1. 

   Decide what shape you are going for. Do you just want to grasp few stray hairs or shape them to look like a celebrity’s? Find a picture of a set of brows that you admire and determine if they would suit your face. Do you want them curvy, or arched so that they always look like you’re intrigued? Keep the picture nearby for reference.

2. 

   Select a good pair of tweezers with tips that are sure to grab the hairs securely. There are pointy ends, slanted ends, flat ends—all types. If you have a preference, use that one. If not, the slanted ended ones work pretty well.

3. 

   To dull the area, you may want to take an ice cube and place it on the area to be tweezed. Obviously, it will be very cold at first, but if you’re not an experienced tweezer, you’ll be happy you used it.

4. 

   Looking closely into the mirror, take the tweezer in your hand and begin to pluck away the stray hairs or the hairs that you need to remove in order to achieve your desired shape. Take a few breaks to step back and get a good look at yourself and to make sure the eyebrows match. Once they match and complement each other and you enjoy the look, you’re done.

Tips & Warnings

• Make sure to clean the tweezers after you’re done using them.
• If you have over plucked, fill in the areas with a brow pencil that matches your eyebrow color.
