How to Change your Facebook Profile Picture

Your online profile picture serves as the icon representation of you social networking page, your Facebook profile. Follow these steps in order to change your Facebook profile picture.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Sign into your facebook account. If you haven't already used your Facebook to download pictures online, refer to the article "How to Add Pictures to your Facebook Profile", in the resource section below.

  2. Step 2

    Once you are signed into your social networking profile, click on the "profile" tab to go to your own homepage.

  3. Step 3

    Once at your online profile page, click on "edit my profile" under where your online image would normally be (on the upper left hand corner of website).

  4. Step 4

    Click on the portrait that you want to use as your profile picture, or avatar, and it will be brought up to a full size picture.

  5. Step 5

    On the bottom right hand of the website page, click on the "make profile picture". You will be given a cropping box that will allow you to crop the image.

  6. Step 6

    Once you have cropped your profile picture to your liking, click "Done cropping". Now you have a new picture for your online social networking website, Facebook!
