Instructions

    • 1

Check your router for a solid "Internet" light to verify connectivity before installing your Linksys range expander.

    • 2

Slide the power plate into the back of the range expander---with the metal contacts facing the expander and the caution sticker on the outside. Plug the range expander into a power outlet near your wireless router.

    • 3

Press and hold the "Auto-Configuration" button on the side of your Linksys for approximately five seconds to let the expander automatically configure itself, or manually configure the expander with its packaged software.

    • 4

Run an Ethernet cable from the Ethernet port on the back of the expander to the Ethernet port on the back of your computer's network card. Insert your Linksys installation CD and follow the prompts through the installation wizard to customize your setup.

    • 5

Move your Linksys range expander to a power outlet just inside the range of your wireless network. Setting up the expander around the edge of your wireless network will help to double your network's reach.
