How to Make a Cachaca Mojito

For several years now, mojitos have been all the rage in the realm of sweet fruity cocktails. The original mojito is a traditional Cuban highball made of white rum, sugar-cane juice, lime, sparkling water and mint, all served with crushed ice. The original mojito-like drink is believed to have originated as the 16th-century drink El Draque, named for Sir Francis Drake. This recipe combines traditional mojito ingredients with those of a Brazilian favorite, the caipirinha. The secret is the addition of cachaca, a Brazilian sugar-cane liquor. Does this Spark an idea?
