Things You'll Need:

  • Soy products
  • Black licorice supplements
  1. Step 1

See your doctor. In some instances, a high libido may be due to hormonal imbalances, specifically an overproduction of testosterone. Your doctor can test your hormonal levels and correct irregularities with prescription medication.

  2. Step 2

Eat soy products. Soy contains phytoestrogen, which is nature's equivalent of estrogen. Like estrogen, phytoestrogen can reduce one's libido. The exact amount of soy necessary to lower one's libido varies between individuals. Try incorporating more soy into your diet and see the effect it has on your sex drive. You can find soy in a variety of forms, such as soy milk, tofu and soy nut butter.

  3. Step 3

Take black licorice supplements. These natural supplements can reduce desire for sex in men. Take 300 grams daily for best results.

  4. Step 4

Talk about it. In some instances, an overactive libido may be due to psychological or emotional issues surrounding sex. See a therapist or mental health professional to discuss your sex life. There are various professionals who specialize in sexual health.

  5. Step 5

Distract yourself. Focus on activities that require mental concentration. If you do, you will be less likely to think about sex. If you do this regularly, you can effectively reduce your libido over time.
