Study and take the real estate examination at an approved location. Complete the fingerprinting and background-check requirements. Download the required Real Estate Licensing in North Carolina packet, which contains the license application form. This packet is free and available from the North Carolina Division of Real Estate.

Complete the licensure application form and submit it to the North Carolina Division of Real Estate with the appropriate fee. Continuing education course links are provided on the website and can be completed entirely online.
