Cure Foot Problems

Foot problems can affect everyday activities and hinder mobility. Fortunately most conditions can be treated and activity can be resumed. A variety of foot problems exists, such as bunions, calluses, athlete's foot and those issues that are related to a person's standing for an extended period of time. Feet are the foundation of a person's body and should be cared for properly.

Instructions

    • 1

Avoid footwear such as boots, high heels and cleats. Wear shoes that allow room for movement in the toe area. Confining footwear can prevent the blood from flowing properly and can lead to foot problems such as calluses and improper balance.

    • 2

Give the foot a daily massage to cure foot problems. Everyday walking around can cause knots to form or can even strain tendons in the feet. Massaging the soles of the feet will help increase circulation.

    • 3

Place the foot in warm water to help alleviate the pain and swelling caused by bunions. Wear a protective bunion covering that can be purchased at a drug store to pad the area and reduce inflammation.

    • 4

Keep the foot hydrated and the skin moist to cure cracking and dry skin. Massage foot oil onto the soles of the feet and all around the heel area on a daily basis.

    • 5

Wash the feet daily and scrub between the toes to cure itching and to get rid of the fungus that causes athlete's foot. If the infection is chronic, see a doctor to get a prescribed topical antifungal medication.

    • 6

Elevate the foot to cure swelling. This problem may be the result of standing for long periods of time, or it can be caused by a more serious condition such as high blood pressure.

    • 7

Soak feet in cold water and rub down with cold cream to cure burning-foot problems. Standing on the feet all day long can cause a burning sensation and may be accompanied by pain and numbness.
