Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • NightHawk wireless outdoor camera kit
  1. Step 1

Plug the adapter end of the camera's power cable into the power cord that extends from the back of the camera. Then plug the transformer end of the power cable into a power outlet. Raise the antenna on the side of the camera.

  2. Step 2

Plug the power cable into the DC power outlet on the back of the receiver, then plug the receiver into a power outlet. Raise the antenna at the back of the receiver.

  3. Step 3

Run the supplied audio/video cable from the receiver to your VCR or monitor. Match the red and yellow ends of the audio/video cable to the red and yellow RCA ports on the back of the receiver and to the "Audio In" and "Video In" ports on the back of your VCR or monitor.

  4. Step 4

Press the button labeled "SEL" on the front of the receiver to change the receiver's reception channel to match the camera's broadcast channel; the camera will be set to "channel 1" by default. As you press the "SEL" button, an LED light will illuminate under the heading of the receiver's current channel.

  5. Step 5

Set your VCR or television to the proper input channel to receive audio and video from the receiver (see Resources below).

Tips & Warnings
  • The best reception is achieved by setting up a clear line of sight between the camera and receiver.
