How to Play Naruto Ultimate Ninja 3
Naruto: Ultimate Ninja is a PlayStation-exclusive series that allows you to play through pivotal points in the Naruto animated series. The format of the game is arcade-based brawling, and its complex battle system has been lauded by many game critics. Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 3 is a very long game as well, so it might be tough to navigate its various modes and figure out how to play each one.

1
Go to Training mode. This can be found at the bottom of the main menu. Before you start battling bad guys, you'll need to know the ins and outs of the battle system. Although performing simple attacks is as easy as mashing the "X" button, learning how to execute special attacks, control chakra and recharge are essential to any battle strategy.

Play through the Story mode. In Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 3, the main story mode is called "Hero's History," and it will take you through significant events from the first few seasons. "Hero's History" is structured like any other arcade brawler: You will meet enemies after introductory cut scenes, and will have to win two out of three battle rounds in order to move forward. This mode is relatively short, and should only take you five or six hours to complete.

Complete RPG mode. "Hero's History" is like a warm-up for the RPG mode, which incorporates the same battle system that you used in Story mode, but instead of automatically shuffling you into battle, it allows you to roam around the fictitious world of Konoha and interact with other people. You will also be able to perform collection-based missions and mini-game side-missions. RPG mode is very lengthy, and 100 percent completion will probably take 15 to 20 hours. If you just want to stick to the battles and avoid all the side missions, it will probably take about ten hours.

Complete the Ranked Missions. The game has several optional ranked missions that you can complete if you want to finish the game to 100-percent completion. While these missions are not required for you to "beat" the game--you'll still unlock the endings of both "Hero's History" and RPG mode without doing them--they are very challenging for the experienced player and add definite replay value. Once you have finished all the missions, you will have finished the entirety of the game.
