Remove a Car Dent with an Air Duster

A dent in your car doesn't have to mean a costly trip to the repair shop. If the dent is small, meaning your entire fender isn't caved in; this is an easy fix at home. It only takes a few minutes and a little know-how to repair the dent with an air duster.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Aluminum foil
  • Lighter
  • Air duster
  • Clean cloth
  1. Step 1

Place a piece of aluminum foil over the dent.

  2. Step 2

Heat the foil by holding a lighter close and moving it around in circles to heat up the foil and the dented area underneath. This should take 30 seconds.

  3. Step 3

Remove the foil and spray the area with an air duster held upside down. When held upside down the can will dispense liquid co2. Cover the dent with the liquid co2.

  4. Step 4

Allow the dent 15 to 20 seconds--it should pop out on its own.

  5. Step 5

Wipe the area dry with a soft clean cloth.

Tips & Warnings
  • Wear gloves and glasses when dealing with liquid co2.
