How to close a MySpace account and have your profile deleted

MySpace is one of the biggest social networking sites on the internet but some people think that it is overwhelming or find it is just not for them. If have signed up for an account with MySpace and you would like to delete your account then you have come to the right place. This tutorial will show you how to close your MySpace account and delete your personal information off of your profile.

Things You'll Need:

• MySpace Account
• Internet

1. Log into your MySpace account using your username and password of the account you would like to close. This should take you to the homepage of your account. If you are not on the homepage, click Home in the navigational bar.

2. Click on Account Settings link on your profile's homepage. It should be in the top left near your profile picture.

   MySpace Account Deletion

   On the bottom part of the Settings page there is an option to cancel your account. Click on the link that says Cancel Account. Now there will be a warning:
   
   "WARNING: Cancelling your MySpace account will PERMANENTLY REMOVE all of your profile information from MySpace, including your photographs, comments, journals, and your personal network of friends. This information cannot be restored. You may re-register your current email address after cancelling, but you will need to rebuild your personal network from scratch."

4. There will be an email confirmation that your account is been closed. Check your email to make sure that your account has been closed.

Tips & Warnings

• You can re-register your name after the account has been canceled, but ALL of your information will have been deleted.
